What is a host family?
Many students who study Russian prefer living in a host family. It helps to understand better the character, traditions, mentality of Russian people and get extra practice of language every day!
All the families that we offer have good recommendations from our students. They often call our hosts Russian mums for their sociability, care, kindness and eagerness to help and teach something new!
There is only one rule: we speak only Russian, so don’t worry about the lack of the practice! However all our families speak everyday English (and sometimes also other foreign languages – German or Italian).
Where will I stay?
All the families are located close to the school. The student will stay in a clean room, well-equipped for doing homework and resting.
We usually offer a private accommodation in a single room, the kitchen and the bathroom would be shared with the family.
What is for breakfast today?
You could choose accommodation with breakfast or half board for your convenience. Both meals are usually held with the family and help to know better how the Russian people live and get extra practice of Russian language!
While staying in a host family you would be served with dishes of traditional Russian cuisine. Please, note the Russian food could differ from the food of your country or the food from a restaurant or a cafe. If you have any allergies or special diet requirements (vegetarian, vegan, lactose-free etc.), feel free to tell about them while booking the course.
Check-in & check-out
Courses at our school are usually held from Monday to Friday, so we ask our students to arrive and leave accordingly.
The rules of checking-in and checking-out at the host family are more or less the same as in a hotel: checking-in after 12.00 in the afternoon and checking-out before 12.00 in the afternoon.
