Does this sound familiar when learning Russian?

  • Started with an app — and quit after a week?
  • Studied with a tutor for a year, but still can't speak?
  • Felt like cases and verb aspects were impossible to learn?
  • Got lost in an unfamiliar alphabet and complex phonetics?
  • Afraid of wasting time and money all over again?
  • Never quite worked up the courage to start, even though you'd wanted to for a long time?

We guarantee you'll start speaking:

1

Communicative approach

Every lesson is built around a real-life situation: at a café, a clinic, work, or a migration center. You learn to handle real tasks in Russian, not just fill out grammar tables.
2

Flipped classroom

You get access to a vocabulary trainer on our platform rki.zlat.spb.ru. You learn new words and phrases before the lesson — and start using them right away in class. No time wasted on repetitive drilling before you can actually use the new vocabulary.
3

Activity-based approach

In groups — pair and small-group work. One-on-one — a constant dialogue with your teacher. Grammar comes up only when you need it to solve a task, and vocabulary circulates throughout the lesson so it sticks naturally.
4

Experienced teachers

Our teachers pass a rigorous selection process and train in our RFL teaching standards. We don't hire recent graduates — every teacher has at least 4 years of teaching experience. Many are PhDs and textbook authors who know exactly where foreign learners struggle and how to help them past it.

Reviews
2 months

A year ago I decided to learn Russian to talk with partners in Russia — meetings, receptions, negotiations. I studied with a tutor, but in a year we only covered the alphabet. I came to Zlatoust for an assessment — I had to start from zero. In April–May 2026 I took an intensive course. The fear of speaking is gone; now I can talk about myself, my family and work. I plan to keep going and improving my level at Zlatoust. I can finally see progress.

TORFL-III

I wanted to get a job in Korea, which required a TORFL-III certificate. I had little time — only two months. I needed an accurate assessment, a personal program, and an intensive course to prepare and pass the exam before leaving Russia. My entry test showed a good starting level, but I needed to sharpen my skills across all areas — including exam-specific preparation.

TORFL-IV

I was given the opportunity to improve my Russian for free over 12 months. I wanted to speak like a native, to understand the subtext — not just formally meet my employer's requirement to pass the TORFL-IV exam. My starting level on the placement test was B2. Not only did I pass, but I also achieved fluency in Russian — my goal.
