For organizations where Russian becomes a working tool

Most companies with international staff rely on 1–2 interpreters for everyone — and when they're unavailable, negotiations stall. Zlatoust trains your specialists to negotiate directly in Russian, on their own, without delays or costly misunderstandings.

What Our Clients Say

For over 35 years, we've specialized in Russian as a Foreign Language for working professionals — tailoring every program to real business needs instead of a one-size-fits-all curriculum.
Client Cases
Diplomacy
Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in St. Petersburg

The challenge: The Consulate needed a diplomat with Russian well beyond functional fluency — able to read subtext and nuance, not just formally pass the TORFL-IV. Entry requirement: B2+ (varying by skill area). 12-month program, fully sponsored.

Diplomat’s words: "I wanted to speak like a Russian, understand subtext, and not just formally complete my supervisor's task of passing the TORFL-IV exam."

The result

The diplomat passed the TORFL-IV exam at the St. Petersburg State University testing center and continues studying with us today. Over 12 months, this student moved from formally correct Russian to genuinely fluent, idiomatic communication across real working situations.

Corporate
Gazpromneft — Bitumen Materials

A division head came to us because his already-fluent employees were still making mistakes in presentations and written correspondence. For a client-facing team, that was a credibility issue — both externally and internally. Brief: a 6-month course focused specifically on professional speech and business communication.

The result

The group completed the course and demonstrably strengthened both spoken business communication and written style, confirmed through control assessments. The client signed off on the outcome.

Diplomacy
Consulate General of Japan in St. Petersburg

The Consulate's specialists in St. Petersburg wanted conversation practice and stronger Russian overall, plus dedicated blocks on Russian culture. An individual, flexible schedule was required to work around their jobs.

The result

The group completed a listening-and-speaking course — watching and discussing authentic videos and classic films, expanding vocabulary, and building communication skills across business and socio-cultural topics — plus a specially prepared course on Russian literature. The diplomats praised the atmosphere of the lessons and were pleased with the results.

Corporate
REAL ESTATE S.B. 1962 S.R.L.

An Italian businessman needed working Russian to communicate with business partners in Russia, at receptions and meetings. He'd studied for a year with a previous teacher but had made almost no progress — diagnostics showed the lessons had covered only the alphabet, with no real structure, so training had to start from scratch.

The result

An intensive course ran in April–May 2026. His fear of speaking Russian disappeared, and he mastered the first core topics — he can now handle everyday situations, talk about himself and his family, and plans to keep studying with us.

Corporate
Russian Language School in Iran "Dusti-ye-Melal"

The school's management asked us to run open lessons with native speakers for 40 of its students — aiming for intensive conversation practice, linguistic and cultural immersion, and professional development for the school's own teachers.

The result

We ran two off-site events in Tehran, in 2024 and 2025, delivering intensive language practice through open lessons with students. The school's teachers also built their skills through sessions on modern Russian-teaching methods and hands-on participation in the lessons.

How we work with corporate clients

01
In-depth interview: We start by listening

A meeting with your team, in person or online. We map out employee tasks, current language level, work schedule, and budget. We don't design or price a program before this step.

02
Diagnostics: see exactly where your team stands

We test employees to establish real language level, strengths, and gaps. Free for individual format; group pricing on request. You get a clear "before/after" skills map — entry level plus a projected result — and we run our own final assessment at the course end. If official TORFL certification is required, we guide the process; we're partners of certified testing centers (the Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language, St. Petersburg State University) and know the exam format inside out.

Guarantee: on courses of 100+ academic hours, if a student attends every class and still doesn't pass, we add 5 lesson hours free.

03
Program design: a plan built around your business

Based on the interview and diagnostics, we build the program ourselves — format, intensity, content, schedule, and a reporting structure. Custom program: 2–3 weeks. Standard, ready-made program: 1 week.

04
Implementation & Support: Launch, Track, Adjust

We start training and send your HR department regular progress reports, adjusting the program as needed along the way.

Start with an Interview

The in-depth interview isn't a sales pitch — it's how we understand your situation before recommending anything.

30–40 minutes, in person or via Zoom, with your HR representative and our methodologist.

Within 5 business days, you'll receive:

  • An assessment of your employees' current level (if testing was conducted)
  • A draft of a training program
  • A commercial proposal with a detailed breakdown

We don't send a proposal without an interview first.
